1) I love food.
2) I love my friends.
3) I'm 22, which means I am working an entry-level job.
4) That job is in the government, which means I'm paid in wooden nickels.
5) I live in DC, which means it costs approximately 99.9% of my salary to live somewhere other than a park bench.

This means I have squat to spend on something I need a lot. Since everything is about food now, you can't be social without going to a bar or a restaurant. This is my quest to find places that serve good stuff without making you broke. Besides food and cost and the like, there will be the necessary commentary on other important things, like whether the location risks you getting lost in Southeast DC. Also, unlike many reviews, they're to the point and in plain English. Blogspot.com has no stars and asterisks are boring, so they're rated out of four smileys instead. Because I'm so obsessed with food, recipes, grocery shopping and cookware, there will likely also be a good bit of stuff about those thrown in. And probably a lot of rambling, because I tend to do that.
